Healthy Oats Tikki

Ingredients:

  1. Oats : 3/4 cups
  2. Potatoes,boiled, peeled and mashed : 2 medium
  3. Salt :  to taste
  4. Red chilli powder : 1/4 tsp
  5. Onion ,finely chopped : 1 medium
  6. Garam masala powder : 1/2 tsp
  7. Chaat masala :  1 tsp
  8. Fresh coriander leaves,chopped : 2 tbsp
  9. Carrot,grated : 1/4 cup
  10. Refined flour (maida) : 2 tbsp
  11. Oil For shallow frying

Method:

  1. Mix potatoes, salt, red chilli powder, onion, garam masala powder, chaat masala, coriander leaves, carrot and four tablespoons oats in a bowl.
  2. In another bowl,Add 3 tablespoons water to the refined flour and make a thick batter.
  3. Spread the remaining oats evenly on a plate.Divide the potato mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into tikkis.
  4. Dip them in the batter and roll in oats and set aside.
  5.  Heat a non-stick tawa, and shallow-fry the tikkis on medium heat, turning sides, till golden brown on both sides. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.

Note:

You can use corn flakes also instead of Oats.
