Freezer wale Karele

Ingredients :

  1. Karela sliced : 1 1/2 bowl or 2 big karela
  2. Onion sliced : 1/2 bowl
  3. Oil : 1 tbsp
  4. Turmeric Powder :1.2 tsp
  5. Red chili powder : 1 tsp
  6. Hing : 1/8 tsp
  7. Jaggery : 1/4 tsp
  8. Salt : to taste
  9. Coriander powder : 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Wash karela properly and clean it with cotton cloth.Cut it into slices and put them in a box.
  2. Keep it in freezerĀ for almost 2-3 hrs.
  3. If you want to make this veg for dinner, you can put the karela in freezerĀ in the mng.
  4. When you want to cook just keep it outside for almost 2 hrs before and open the box.
  5. Heat oil in a pan.
  6. Add hing, followed by onion.Saute it for 5 minutes.
  7. Add karela, sprinkle turmeric powder and salt on it.
  8. Cover it and cook it for 5 minutes on low flame.
  9. Check the karela with the spoon; if it is cooked add all the masalas.
  10. Saute it for 2 minutes.
  11. Add jaggery and saute it for 1 minute.
  12. Do not cover it.
  13. Serve it hot with paranthas.
