Green Gram Dosa / Pesarattu

Ingredients:

  1. Moong Dal with skin : 1 cup
  2. Rice : 2 tbsp
  3. Onion chopped : 1/2 cup
  4. Curry Leaves : 1/2 cup
  5. Green Chilly : 1
  6. Ginger chopped : 2 tbsp
  7. Coriander chopped : 1/2 cup
  8. Salt : to taste
  9. Water : as required
  10. Butter : 2 tbsp

Method:

  1. Mix the moong dal and rice and soak the mixture overnight.
  2. Drain the water and put the mixture in a food processor.Add ginger,green chillies and curry leaves.Grind to a fine paste.
  3. Add a little water to make a thick dosa like paste.
  4. Now add chopped coriander and chopped onions to the batter and beat the batter for 5 minutes.
  5. Heat the pan and melt a little butter.Pour the batter into the hot pan and using the back of the spatula spread the butter evenly.
  6. Allow the pancake/dosa to cook on both sides till done.
  7. Serve hot with sambhar or chutny.
