Ingredients:
- Urad dal without skin : 1 cup
- Cumin Seeds : 1 tsp
- Salt : to taste
- Hing : a pinch
- Rasins : 12-15
- Oil : for frying
- Curd : 3 – 4 cup
- Roasted cumin powder- For Garnishing : 1 tsp
- Red Chili powder- For Garnishing : 1 tsp
- Coriander Leaves chopped : 1 tsp
Method :
- Soak urad dal for 4-5 hrs.
- Add a little water to make a thick pakora like paste.
- Add cumin seeds, salt and hing (dissolved in 1/8 tsp water).
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Take 1 raisin in hand and put that with pakoda’s batter,make small balls of it and put them for frying.
- Make small pakoras of urad dals batter.
- Deep fry them.
- Take them out and soak it in hot water for almost 15-20 minutes and cover them.
- Whisk the curd.Make it very smooth.
- Take the badas out from the hot water.Let it be for cooling.
- Now keep the 2 pakoras in 1 serving plate.
- Add 2 tbsp of curd.
- Garnish with all the masalas. Just sprinkle it.
- Add chopped coriander leaves.
Note :
- While serving can add dhania chutney and tamarind chutney also.
- You can garnish with very fine namkeen (which we use in bhel puri) and anardana.
- For Vadas, can mix the moong dal / chawla dal / urad dal in 1:1:1 ratio.
