Gulab Petha

Ingredients :

  1. Maida : 2 cup
  2. ENO/ Soda : pinch
  3. Hot Ghee : 2 tbsp
  4. Drinking Soda or warm water to make the tight dough.
  5. White Rose essence : 4-5 drops
  6. Red Colour : 4-5 drops
  7. Drynuts crushed : 1 tbsp

Method :

  1. Sugar Syrup : Take Sugar (2 cup), a pinch saffron and cardamom, 2 drops of red colour and essence, can also put rose petals in a bowl. Stir it for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Mix all the ingredients together and make a tight dough.
  3. Roll it in 1/4 ” thickness, cut it in pieces.
  4. Deep fry in hot ghee on a medium flame till it is light brown in colour and put it in a 2 string sugar syrup.
  5. When it is completely mixed take it out and serve after 1/2 hr.

Note : We can put pethas in hot sugar syrup.

We can make Kaju Pethas also by putting kaju in a sugar syrup and in dough.
