Shahi Tukdi

Ingredients :

  1. Big Bread slice : 6-7
  2. Ghee : For frying
  3. Milk : 1 kg
  4. CornFlour : 2 tbsp
  5. Sugar : 12 tbsp
  6. Saffron : 5-6 flakes
  7. Cardamom Powder : a pinch
  8. Drynuts : 2 tbsp
  9. Coloured pethas : 2 tbsp
  10. Mawa : 1 cup

Method :

  1. Cut the edges of bread slices and cut it in small pieces.
  2. Deep fry the bread pieces till light brown.
  3. Keep it in a thali.
  4. Grease a pan. Put milk in it. Add saffron and Cardamom and put it on a gas.
  5. Take 1/4 cup milk and put corn flour in it. Mix it well.
  6. When milk get reduced with 1/4 of quantity put corn flour mixture in it. Put sugar, mawa in it. Mix it well.
  7. Put this mixture over bread. Let it cool for some time.
  8. Garnish it with tooti fruti, drynuts and fruits etc.
  9. Cover it and keep it in fridge for 2 hrs and serve it chilled.
