Moong Thal

Ingredients :

  1. Besan : 2 cup
  2. Sugar : 1 cup
  3. Water : 1 cup
  4. Saffron : 5-6 flakes
  5. Cardamom Powder : a pinch
  6. Mawa : 1 cup
  7. Fresh Cream : 1 cup
  8. Milk : 1/2 cup
  9. Ghee : 2 tbsp

Method :

  1. Take besan in a bowl, add ghee into it.
  2. Now make 4 parts of it. Take milk and make first forming dough.
  3. Make balls out of it.
  4. After that fry it on a low flame till it becomes brown.
  5. Take it out, cool it and crush it and make powder in a mixer.
  6. Sieve it , roast it in a pan with 1 tsp ghee. After 3/4th roasting we can add mawa/ malai.
  7. Sugar Syrup : Take 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar. Make 1 string syrup after that put besan mixture over it and keep stirring it.
  8. Keep it to set for 5-6 hours. Cut in in pieces and serve it.
  9. Store in in air tight containers for 15-20 days.
