Jeera Aloo

Ingredients:

  1. Potato                                 2
  2. Cumin Seeds                      1 tsp
  3. Oil                                        1 tbsp
  4. Hing                                     1 pinch
  5. Red chili Powder               ½ tsp
  6. Turmeric Powder              1 tsp
  7. Dry Mango Powder          ½ tsp
  8. Coriander Powder             1 tsp
  9. Slited Green Chili               2-3

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add hing, within few seconds add cumin seeds, When they begin to change colour, add green chili.
  3. Keep it on low flame for 1 minute then add potatoes…sprinkle turmeric powder and salt.
  4. Cover it for 5- 10 minutes until the potatoes became soft.
  5. Add red chili powder, coriander powder, and dry mango powder.Keep it for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Serve it hot with Paranthas.

Note:

  1. If you like the taste/fragrance of kari patta leaves,add it before adding the cumin seeds.
  2. If you want to make it spicy add green chilies instead of increasing red chili powder.
  3. If you want to give it north Indian taste don’t use karri patta leaves.
