Bathua Parantha

Ingredients:

For Stuffing:

  1. Bathua finely Chopped : 2 cup
  2. Sattu/Roasted Besan : 4 tbsp
  3. Onion chopped : 1 large
  4. Oil : 2 tbsp
  5. Dry Mango Powder : 1/4 tsp
  6. Red chili Powder : 1 tsp
  7. Salt : to taste
  8. Dry Ginger Powder : 1/2 tsp

Method:

For Stuffing:

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add Onion and saute it for 10 – 15 minutes on low flame.
  3. Add Bathua and salt.
  4. Cover it and keep it for 10 minutes on low flame.
  5. Add all the masalas and sattu.
  6. Mix it well.
  7. Do not cover it.Cook it for 5 minutes on low flame.
  8. Take it in a bowl and make 8 portions of it like balls.
  9. Now this is ready for stuffing.
  10. Stuff it like the same way we do for other stuffed paranthas.
  11. Serve it hot with Curd or Dhania Pudina Chutny.

Note:

Always make the dough very soft.It helps you in rolling.

Carom seeds, increase the taste and help in digestion, can add 1/4 tsp of it in making dough (Wheat flour : 1 1/2 cup).
