Bhakarvadi

Ingredients:

For Dough:

  1. Gram Flour : 1/2 cup
  2. Maida : 1/2 cup
  3. Turmeric Powder : 1/4 tsp
  4. Oil : 1/4 cup
  5. Salt : to taste
  6. Ajwaiyn : 1/2 tsp
  7. Oil : for frying

For Filling:

  1. Til : 1 tbsp
  2. Dry Coconut grated : 1 tbsp
  3. Khas Khas : 1/2 tbsp
  4. Dry Ginger Powder : 1/2 tsp
  5. Red Chili Powder : 1/4 tsp
  6. Garam Masala : 1/2 tsp
  7. Jeera Powder : 1 tsp
  8. Dhania Powder : 1 tsp
  9. Salt : 3/4 tsp (to taste)
  10. Sugar Powder : 2 tsp (to taste)
  11. Chopped coriander leaves : 1 tbsp
  12. Lemon Juice : 1 tbsp

Method:

  1. For Dough: Mix all the ingredients and make a dough and keep it for 1/2 an hr.
  2. Make sure this dough should be very tight.
  3. For Filling: Add til and khas khas in a pan and roast it until it pops up and becomes brown.
  4. Add coconut and roast it for 10 -15 secs.
  5. Put this mixture in a mixer and make semi powder of it.
  6. Add all the rest masalas in it.
  7. Now divide the dough and the mixture in 4 portions.
  8. Make the chapaties and spread juice on it.
  9. Add the mixture on it.
  10. Make rolls and cut it in small portions.
  11. Twist it with hand.
  12. Keep it for 10-15 mins.
  13. Fry it in oil.
  14. Heat the oil in pan.Keep it on high flame and put it on medium flame and add all the bhakarvadis into it.
  15. Fry them on low flame.
  16. You can keep it in a air tight container.
