Dal Fry

Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  1. Moong Dal : 1 cup
  2. Turmeric Powder : 1/2 cup
  3. Salt : to taste
  4. Onion Chopped : 3 medium
  5. Green Chili chopped : 4
  6. Garlic Chopped : 1 tsp
  7. Ginger Chopped : 1 tsp
  8. Coriander Leaves chopped : 1 tbsp
  9. Cumin seeds : 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Boil Dal  with turmeric powder and salt.If possible soak it for 15 minutes before cooking.
  2. Keep it aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan.Add cumin seeds.
  4. Add onions after 1 minute add garlic chili and ginger.
  5. Saute it until onions became light brown / golden.
  6. Add this tadka into boiled dal.
  7. Stir it and keep it for boiling.
  8. Check the consistency and add required water.
  9. Garnish it with Coriander leaves.
  10. Serve hot with rice or paranthas.

Note:

Make it little thick when you are serving it with rice.
