Ingredients :
- Karela sliced : 1 1/2 bowl or 2 big karela
- Onion sliced : 1/2 bowl
- Oil : 1 tbsp
- Turmeric Powder :1.2 tsp
- Red chili powder : 1 tsp
- Hing : 1/8 tsp
- Jaggery : 1/4 tsp
- Salt : to taste
- Coriander powder : 1 tsp
Method:
- Wash karela properly and clean it with cotton cloth.Cut it into slices and put them in a box.
- Keep it in freezerĀ for almost 2-3 hrs.
- If you want to make this veg for dinner, you can put the karela in freezerĀ in the mng.
- When you want to cook just keep it outside for almost 2 hrs before and open the box.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add hing, followed by onion.Saute it for 5 minutes.
- Add karela, sprinkle turmeric powder and salt on it.
- Cover it and cook it for 5 minutes on low flame.
- Check the karela with the spoon; if it is cooked add all the masalas.
- Saute it for 2 minutes.
- Add jaggery and saute it for 1 minute.
- Do not cover it.
- Serve it hot with paranthas.
