Ingredients:
- Carrot shredded 2 big bowls
- Milk 1 1/2 kg
- Sugar 3 1/2 tbsp
- Ghee 3 tbsp
- Almond 8-10
- Raisins 15
- Cashew-nuts 10
- Saffron 5
- Cardamom powder 1/2 ts
- Silver varak 1 paper
Method:
- For garnishing,Soak almond and raisins in hot water separately.Soak saffron in 2 tea spoon hot milk.
- Take out skin of almond and shread it.Cut Cashew-nuts in small small pieces.
- Boil milk in a pan.When it started boiling add grated carrot.Stir it continuously.
- Stir it continuously until the whole milk evaporates.
- Add ghee and continue stirring.
- When ghee starts separating from carrot add sugar and saffron.Stir it continuously until it get thick.
- Add almond, cashew-nuts and raisins.Apply silver varak on halwa.Serve it hot.
