Healthy Tomato Soup

Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  1. Tomato roughly chopped : 3 medium 
  2. Onion roughly chopped : 1 medium
  3. Garlic smashed : 4 cloves
  4. Oil : 1 tsp
  5. Ghee/Butter : 1 tsp
  6. Carrot roughly chopped : 1 medium
  7. Coriander Stem : 4-5
  8. Coriander Leaves chopped : 1 tsp
  9. Moong dal (without chilka) soaked for 1/2 an hour: 1/2 tbsp
  10. Rice soaked for 1/2 an hour : 1/2 tbsp
  11. Salt : to taste
  12. Black Pepper Powder : 1/2 tsp

Method:

  1. Heat oil and ghee/butter in a pan.
  2. Add garlic, saute it for 1/2 minute.
  3. Add onion and carrot, saute it for 2 minutes.
  4. Add dal,rice,tomato,black pepper, salt, coriander stem and 2 cups of water.
  5. Mix it well.
  6. Boil it take 2-3 whistles.
  7. Cool it for 10 minutes and grind it.
  8. Strain it and keep it for boiling.
  9. Boil for 1-2 minutes.
  10. Garnish it with Coriander leaves.
  11. Serve it with fried bread crumbs.

Note:

Always check sourness of tomato before using.

If it is too much sour , can remove the seeds of it and use only flash.

If you like the taste of mint,tulsi/basil , can garnish with it.
