Moong Dal ka Halwa

Ingredients :

  1. Washed and Soaked Moong dal for 5-6 hours : 1 1/2 cup
  2. Sugar : 2 cup
  3. Water : 3 cup
  4. Ghee : 3/4 cup
  5. Saffron : 5-6 flakes
  6. Cardamom Powder : a pinch
  7. Fresh Cream : optional

Method :

  1. Boil sugar, water, cardamom and saffron till 2-3 boils and take it out from pan.
  2. Take a pan. Grease it. Now put fine paste of dal and roast it till it becomes light brown in colour on medium flame.
  3. Now add sugar water with one hand and stir it with another till there is little bit oil/ghee in corner.
  4. Roast it. Take it out, garnish with drynuts and serve hot.
