Samvat Upma

Time : 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  1. Samvat Rice : 3 tbsp
  2. Ground nuts : 1 tbsp
  3. Oil : 1 tbsp
  4. Cumin Seeds :1/4 tsp
  5. Green Chili chopped : 1/2 tbsp
  6. Carrot chopped : 2 tbsp
  7. Tomato chopped : 1 tbsp
  8. Luke Warm Water : 100 ml
  9. Chopped coriander leaves : 1 tbsp

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add cumin seeds and ground nuts.
  3. Add samvat rice and roast it for 5- 6 minutes.
  4. Add all the vegs and saute it for 5 minutes.
  5. Add salt and water.
  6. Cover it and cook it for 5 minutes.
  7. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
  8. Serve it hot with any pickle/plain curd or chutney.

Note :

You can have this upma in fast too, just replace the normal salt with Sendha Namak.

To make it a little crunchy, you can add roasted and chopped ground nuts(1/2 tsp).
